SepticSmart Week is focused on getting homeowners and communities to care for and maintain their septic systems. During SepticSmart Week, U.S. EPA seeks to inform homeowners on proper septic system care and maintenance, assist local agencies in promoting homeowner education and awareness, and educate local decision-makers about infrastructure options to improve and sustain their communities.

Other Wastewater Resources and Programs

• 麻豆映画传媒 Certified Installer of Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems (CIOWTS): Through a cooperative agreement with U.S. EPA, 麻豆映画传媒 worked with various partner groups to develop a national credential to certify installers of onsite wastewater treatment systems (CIOWT). While 麻豆映画传媒 no longer offers the examination, the CIOWTS designation is still recognized and maintained by 麻豆映画传媒 through its credential maintenance program. Many practicing credential holders have chosen to maintain their credential through ongoing education and 麻豆映画传媒 will continue to support those individuals who hold the credential.
